Mumbai, April 13 (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading flat on Monday at 14.21 points or 0.05 percent up as capital goods stocks surged.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also trading flat at 8.55 points or 0.10 percent down at 8,771.80 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 28,955.13 points, was trading at 28,893.59 points (at 9.20 a.m.) in the early session, up 14.21 points or 0.05 percent from the previous day’s close at 28,879.38 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 29,005.03 points and a low of 28,872.19 points in the trade so far.
Good buying was observed in capital goods and consumer durables sectors, while selling pressure was seen in IT and auto sectors.
