Mumbai, March 24 (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Tuesday was trading flat at 23.23 points or 0.08 percent up as healthcare stocks rose.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading five points or 0.06 percent up at 8,555.90 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 28,209.33 points, was trading at 28,215.25 points (at 9.24 a.m.) in the early session, up 23.23 points or 0.08 percent from the previous day’s close at 28,192.02 points.
The Sensex has touched a high of 28,222.83 points and a low of 28,157.83 points in the trade so far.
Good buying was observed in healthcare and consumer durables sectors, while selling pressure was seen in banking sector.
