Mumbai, March 10 (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Tuesday was trading flat at 34.84 points or 0.12 percent down as IT stocks plummeted.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading at 11.85 points or 0.14 percent down at 8,744.90 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 28,924.06 points, was trading at 28,809.94 points (at 9.19 a.m.) in the early session, down 34.84 points or 0.12 percent from the previous day’s close at 28,844.78 points.
The Sensex has touched a high of 28,949.11 points and a low of 28,791.58 points in the trade so far.
Good buying was observed in healthcare and capital goods sector, while selling pressure was seen in IT and technology, media and entertainment (TECK) sectors.
